【📝Brief intro】

🇺🇸 The Three Finger Jack Cellars estate @3fingerjack belongs to the Delicato Family Vineyards group. The latter is based in Manteca and won several farms across the state. The Three Finger Jack Cellars house produces only one wine each year from the Lodi region.

The vines are partially 110 years old. The Lodi region, located between San Francisco Bay and the Sierra Nevada Mountain range, offers with its Mediterranean climate ideal conditions for the ripening of the zinfandel variety.

Vinification & Maturation: After the manual harvest and a careful selection of the best grapes, grapes are lightly pressed and then fermented in stainless steel vats at low temperatures. After racking, the wine is aged for twelve months in French and American oak barrels before bottling.

【🍇Grapes & ABV】

100% Zinfandel, 14.5% ABV.

【👀To the eye】

Dark ruby with violet hints.

【👃Nose】

Pronounced aromas of overripe blackcurrant, black plum, blackberry, wild berries, some spices like pepper, clove, liquorice, and oak aging like smoke, vanilla, chocolate, and tobacco.

【👅Palate】

Pronounced aromas similar to the nose with primary aromas of overripe black fruits and black/red berries and secondary aromas from oak aging like vanilla, smoke, tobacco, spices + some minerality/ earthly note can be felt. Quite off-dry, medium acidity, medium tannin, high alcohol, full-body.

Wine is complex with intense and distinctive primary and secondary aromas, balanced with very smooth tannin, a good acidity, and some residual sugar, feels ample and powerful, full-bodied, it ends in a long spicy and mineral/earthly finish.

【🍷 Conclusion】

A very good wine, complex, powerful, silky, unctuous, very easy to drink as it has some residual sugar, jammy and nicely oaky and spicy. Delicious, a real treat.
