【📝Brief intro】
🇮🇹 Incredible value for money! The Tenuta Ulisse estate @tenutaulisse is located in Crecchio, a small town in the province of Chieti, in the Abruzzo region in central Italy. We are approximately 30 km southwest of the town of Pescara and only 13 km from the Adriatic coast.
The grapes come from old vineyards (30/35 years old) made of calcareous, fine clay soil. They are cultivated according to the traditional system named Pergola Abruzzese. Climate is very hot, with low rainfall, but thanks to important fluctuations between day and night temperatures, grapes can retain a good level of acidity and ripe perfectly at the same time.
The planting density is around 3,000 vines per hectare. The harvest, carried out by hand with very strict selection, begins at the end of October and lasts until November as a part is picked overripe. The yield is limited to 50 hl / ha.
Vinification & Maturation: After 15 to 20 days of maceration, the wine is fermented at a controlled temperature (24/26 °C) before being aged for a period of 9 to 12 months in French and American oak barrels.

Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, concentrated aromas of jammy black fruits combined with spices and oak notes, predominantly vanilla, coconut and chocolate. medium alcohol, medium acidity, medium tannin, full body.
Mouthfeel is rich, powerful, and perfectly balanced thanks to delicate tannins, juicy acidity and a creamy / velvety texture, and plenty of aromas of fruits and oak. A long syrupy finish. Just divine!
