【📝Brief intro】
🇪🇸 Vinos del Viento @vinosdelviento is the project of Californian Michael Cooper. He moved in 2002 to Spain in order to research ancestral vines at altitude and produce fresh wines there. He found his happiness in the autonomous community of Aragon, in the north of the country, in the heart of the Campo de Borja, Calatayud, Cariñena and Somontano appellations. The vineyards used for its wines are for some centuries old. They are planted in plots of elevation at least 600 meters and, most often, between 800 and 1000 meters.
Michael Cooper achieves the feat of producing wines that are sophisticated and complex, but also affordable and ready to taste. The wine estate owes its name to the winds that moderate the region's hot climate. The Garnacha grapes come from shrub vines planted in the high-altitude municipality of Villarroya de la Sierra. To be more precise, they have grown in a selection of plots located at an altitude of 800 meters, whose soils are rather poor, clayey, limestone and rocky. The vines are over 35 years old and are not irrigated.
Vinification & Maturation: Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at 25 °C. Aging lasted four months on fine lees in concrete vats.

100% Garnacha, 15% ABV.
【👀To the eye】
Medium ruby.
【👃Nose】
Pronounced aromas of raspberry, strawberry, red cherry, blueberry, plum with hints of liquorice.
【👅Palate】
Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, extremely fruity and juicy. High alcohol, low tannin, medium acidity, medium body. Mouthfeel is powerful, fresh and dry with very concentrated fruits aromas, very expressive ending in a long fruity finish.
【🍷 Conclusion】
Juicy, fruity, fresh and complex, a pure expression of its high-altitude terroir with no artifice, just love it. Delicious wine.
