【📝Brief intro】
🇮🇹 Corte Medicea is a project carried out by the Piedmont company Bollina @labollina which owns three estates located in important wine regions of Italy (Azienda Agricola Luciano Arduini, in the region of Valpolicella, Società Agricola La Bollina in the heart of Piedmont and Azienda Agricola Marco Lazzeretti, in the appellation of Montalcino).
The oenologist Andrea Bernardini, who graduated from the famous enology school of the city of Pisa in 2007, has “carte blanche” for his own projects and is responsible for unearthing quality plots hidden in the best Italian regions.
As for the Corte Medicea estate, the vineyards are in San Casciano dei Bagni, in the heart of beautiful Tuscany, about 90 km southeast of Siena. The vines, located in San Casciano dei Bagni, Tuscany, thrive between 380 and 400 meters above sea level and are pruned in cordon and Guyot. The terroir is characterized by loamy soils.
Vinification & Maturation: After manual harvest, the grapes are transported in small boxes to the cellar and macerated there for four days then are subjected to fermentation for 14 days. Then, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels of 225 liters. Only 10,000 bottles of this cuvée have been produced.

【👃Nose】
Pronounced aromas of red cherry, strawberry, cranberry, blueberry, blackberry, black plum, pepper, vanilla, clove, toast, and cedar.
【👅Palate】
Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, very ripe red and black fruits combined with delicate oak notes. High alcohol, medium acidity, medium tannin, full body.
Mouthfeel is powerful and really creamy at the same time thanks to a velvety texture, acidity is just perfect, tannins are fine, elegant and well-integrated, win expresses a lot of complexity with rich fruity aromas in perfect harmony with very pleasant oak notes ending in a long spicy and kirsch finish. The wine feels perfectly balanced. Delicious!
【🍷 Conclusion】
Fantastic Merlot from Tuscany, a perfect combination of power, subtility, complexity, very harmonious, round and seductive. Incredible value for money.
