【📝概述】

【📝Brief intro】

🇨🇱 A very good value for the price! Casa Marín was founded by María Luz Marín who decided to settle in 2000 in Lo Aborca, a small town in San Antonio, against all people's advice as they thought the climate was too cool for winemaking and she was proved right as she was successful in developing her vineyard and winery whose wines have receives many prizes.

Casa Marín is just 4 km from the Pacific Ocean with a cool microclimate allowing the growth of varieties like Pinot Noir, Riesling, Gewurztraminer… The grapes for the wine are sorted manually, grapes are destemmed and not crushed.

Vinification: Fermentation at 18-34C for 12 days with two pump overs per day.

Maturation: 50% of the wine in used French oak barrels where it sits for 12 months. The remaining 50% was kept in stainless steel tanks to maintain its freshness and youth.

100% Pinot Noir, 14% ABV.

【👀To the eye】

Pale ruby.

【👃Nose】

Pronounced aromas of cherry, strawberry, cranberry, violet, smoke, vanilla, chocolate, mushroom, and wet leaves.

【👅Palate】

Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, very smoky combined with a lot of juicy fruit aromas and a hint of salt. High acidity, medium body, low tannin, and high alcohol.

The mouthfeel is very fresh, explosive, with lovely acidity, an exuberant concentration of red fruits aromas, floral aromas combined with pleasant and well-integrated oak notes, notably of smoke and vanilla, some tertiary aromas of mushroom and wet leaves. The finish is long and feels mineral and salty. Overall a wonderful experience.

【🍷 Conclusion】

Really superb for the price, I paid 13 EUR and didn’t expect such a pleasant, powerful and complex wine. It tastes like some more expensive PN. Really good!
