【📝Brief intro】

🇦🇷 The Viña Cobos estate @vina.cobos is a project launched in 1999 by three wine enthusiasts: Paul Hobbs, one of the most renown Californian winemakers who recognized Argentina's potential very early on, and the couple of oenologists Andrea Marchiori and Luis Barraud, both from ancient Argentinian winegrower dynasties.

The grapes come mainly from vineyards located in Luján de Cuyo between 972 and 989 meters above sea level which allows perfect ripening and very good preservation of freshness due to the large temperature differences between day and night in the valleys at the foot of the Andes. The soils are alluvial, with a subsoil of clay and sand.

Vinification & Maturation: After manual harvesting and careful sorting, they are fermented and then matured for 8 months in American oak barrels.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% ABV.

【👀To the eye】

Deep ruby.

【👃Nose】

pronounced aromas of red cherry, black cherry, mulberry, cassis, blackberry, blackcurrant, and mild spices like cinnamon, tobacco, leather, chocolate, and vanilla.

【👅Palate】

pronounced aromas similar to the nose with plenty of red and black fruits with hints of spices and oak notes. High alcohol, medium tannin, medium acidity, medium body.

Mouthfeel is very fresh and clean, with velvety tannin, a good acidity, concentrated fruity aromas, and well-integrated oak aromas ending in a surprisingly juicy and quite mineral persistent finish. Lovely!

【🍷 Conclusion】

Very nice Argentinean cabernet sauvignon, fruity, fresh, lively and very seductive thanks to the well-integrated oak notes. Very easy to drink and very good value for money.
