【📝概述】

口中顯著的香氣與鼻子類似。 中等酒精度、中等單寧、中等偏高的酸度及中等酒體。 非常多汁、除了果香、花香還有植疏、礦物質、鹽分的味道,但最後尾韻則為悠長的辛辣味。 非常驚豔!!!

【🍷簡單結論】

一款 Raul Perez 出品,令人難以置信的葡萄酒;完美平衡、細緻、優雅、令人印象深刻、結構良好、甘美並有口感清爽的酸度。一切都恰到好處,是真正的傑作。

此款酒在飲用前需要醒酒或開瓶一段時間,才可以好好地讓它發揮出完美的特色!

【📝Brief intro】

🇪🇸 A blend of Mencia, Bastardo, and Garnacha Tintorera, which come from vines planted in 1920 and 1980.

Raul Perez is one of my favorite winemakers in Spain. If you don’t already know him, I really recommend you to check this guy out, he is one of the most important and innovative winemakers in Bierzo.

I’ve already tried many of his wines as I love Mencia (the main black grape variety from Bierzo), and always wanted to try some of his best plot wines. The plot in question is Rapolao, a north-face site, one of the coolest in Bierzo at an altitude of 550 meters. Only 1500 bottles were produced for the 2018 vintage.

Vinification: with whole bunch, short maceration and fermentation in chestnut barrel.

Maturation: two used 500-liter barrels and a 225-liter barrique for 12 months. Bottled unfiltered.

【🍇Grapes & ABV】

A blend of Mencia, Bastardo, and Garnacha Tintorera, 13.5% ABV.

【👀To the eye】

Deep ruby with purple hints.

【👃Nose】

Pronounced aromas of crushed violet, blueberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, chocolate, earth, tomato leaf, spices, balsamic notes, dried herbs, licorice, white pepper, and lavender…. The nose is so complex I could spend hours just smelling the wine.

【👅Palate】

Pronounced aromas similar to the nose. Medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium+ acidity medium body. Wine is extremely juicy, fruity, flowery, with vegetal / mineral / saline notes which takes you to a long lingering spicy finish. The wow effects!!!

【🍷 Conclusion】

An incredible wine from Raul Perez, perfectly balanced, subtle, elegant, mesmerizing to the nose, so well-structured, luscious with a crispy acidity in the mouth. Everything feels right at its place. A real masterpiece. Wine needs to be decanted or at least a long opening before drinking in order to perfectly express itself, Mencia having a tendency to reduce aromas.
