100% 希哈 Syrah, 15% ABV。


【👀視覺印象】

深紫色。


【👃嗅覺香氣】

有明顯的黑胡椒、成熟的黑李子、黑醋栗、櫻桃、紫羅蘭、香草、焦糖、泥土、煙草、甘草香氣。


【👅味覺品嘗】

明顯的香氣類似於鼻子。 焦糖和胡椒的尾韻很長。 中等偏高的酸度、中等單寧、高酒精度、酒體飽滿。

此款酒非常強大、豐富、非常新鮮且同時帶有果味和辛辣味,最後帶有悠長的焦糖/香草味。 單寧順滑,你感覺不到它有 15% 的酒精,留下非常好的回味。Bravo!

【📝Brief intro】

🇦🇷 3 exquisite wines 🇦🇷 PART 1/3 crafted by Fernando Dupont Winery in Jujuy, Argentina (Located northern of Salta). I had the chance to discover those wines thanks to Patricio Dupont, the nephew of Fernando who is the owner of the business Vinos de Altura in France which promotes several estates from Jujuy along with his uncle’s of course.

The Dupont estate is located in the Quebrada de Humahuaca area (UNESCO World Heritage 2013), 2,500 meters above sea level and is one of the highest estates in the world, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes made of mountains, cactus and rocks. Close to the Bolivia border, the area would be too hot to make wines (at ground level), altitude making viticulture possible (as temperature falls by approximately 0.6° every 100 m increase).

First wine I’m gonna introduce is: Sikuri 2017 (IG Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina)

Maturation: 9 months in new Bordeaux oak barrels.


【🍇Grapes & ABV】

100% Syrah, 15% ABV.


【👀To the eye】

Deep purple.


【👃Nose】

Pronounced aromas of black pepper, ripe black plum, blackcurrant, cherry, violet, vanilla, caramel, earth, tobacco, liquorice.


【👅Palate】

Pronounced aromas similar to the nose. A very long finish on the caramel and pepper. Medium+ acidity, Medium tannin, High alcohol, Full-body. It’s really powerful, very rich, very fresh, at the same time fruity and spicy, with a lingering caramel / vanilla effect at the end. Tannins are smooth, you don’t feel the 15% alcohol and it leaves you with a very pleasant aftertaste. Bravo!


【🍷 Conclusion】

A magnificent Syrah on steroids, a beautiful expression of the terroir of Jujuy.
