類似於鼻子的明顯香氣，果醬紅色水果、漿果、橡木以及有趣的第三香氣互相結合。 乾式 (dry)，高酒精度、中等酸度、中等單寧、中等酒體。
這款酒表現出複雜性，主要一級香氣為紅色水果和漿果，二級香氣來自橡木（煙熏、雪松、丁香）和三級香氣（皮革、蘑菇、濕葉…），平衡、單寧柔順、酸度適中、新鮮、質地豐富而甘美、酒體比您對黑比諾所期望的更濃郁、感覺大膽而有力並以煙燻和辛辣的尾韻收尾。
【🍷簡單結論】
喝了絕對令人驚訝開心的黑皮諾，複雜、結構和鹹味，強勁但仍非常優雅，與勃艮第標準感覺完全不同。 我個人很喜歡。
【📝Brief intro】
🇿🇦 Sumaridge Wine Estate is owned by the Bellingham Turner family and lies between two imposing mountain ranges in the Western Cape’s Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley – translating “Heaven and Earth” – with commanding views stretching to Walker Bay on the Atlantic Ocean. The cool maritime breezes and soil made of decomposed granite enable to grow grapes which require cooler weather and retain the ideal freshness.
Vinification & Maturation: All grapes for this wine are hand-harvested with extremely careful sorting. It is followed by a whole berry cold soak for gentle extraction. Separate parcels are selected and treated individually using both cultivated and wild yeasts in stainless closed fermenters and large oak vats. Batches are pressed separately and are matured for 12 months in barrel. The bottled wine is cellared for at least a year before release.

100% Pinot noir, 14.5% ABV.
【👀To the eye】
Deep ruby.
【👃Nose】
Pronounced aromas of red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, plum, blackberry, cedar, smoke, clove, earth, leather, wet leaves, and mushroom.
【👅Palate】
Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, jammy red fruit/berries combined with oak, and interesting tertiary flavors. Dry, high alcohol, medium-tannin, medium acidity, medium body.
The wine displays complexity with primary aromas of red fruits and berry, secondary aromas from oak (smoke, cedar, clove), and tertiary aromas from aging (leather, mushroom, wet leaves…), all in balanced, tannins are smooth, the acidity fresh, the texture is rich and luscious, wine has more body than you would expect for a Pinot Noir, it feels bold and powerful and ends in a long smoky and spicy finish.
【🍷 Conclusion】
Absolutely delightful pinot noir, complex, structured and savory, powerful but still really elegant, completely different from the Burgundy standards. Spicy and smoky, I personally love it.
