【📝Brief intro】
🇦🇹 A fantastic Zweigelt, an autochthonous varietal of Austria. The estate is located not far from the historic wine town of Pulkau (wine is already made there for at least 1000 years) in northern Austria in Groß-Reipersdorf on the border between the Waldviertel and Weinviertel regions.
The Jordan family founded their traditional estate in 1858. Since 2010, the winegrower Simone Hiller-Jordan has managed with her husband Hannes the family estate consisting of 12 hectares of vineyards whose soils are rich in primary rocks, clay and loess.
The region is famous for the white grape Gruner Veltliner but it’s possible to find some delicious red wines made from the Saint Laurent or Zweigelt varietals. Wine is Matured in French barriques 225L.

100% Zweigelt, 13.5% ABV.
【👀To the eye】
Medium ruby with purple hints.
【👃Nose】
Pronounced aromas of strawberry, raspberry, red cherry, blackberry, plum, elderflower, liquorice, cinnamon, tobacco, toast, chocolate, coffee, and vanilla.
【👅Palate】
Pronounced aromas similar to the nose displaying aromas of jammy black and red fruits combined with intense and complex spices and oak aromas, some flowery notes, ending in a long candied orange finish. Medium+ acidity, Medium alcohol, medium+ body, low tannin.
Mouthfeel is very elegant, tannins are well integrated, the texture is rounded and smooth, the perfect balance between the fruits and new oak aromas, the palate is really full-flavoured and supported by bright acidity. Very pleasant to drink.
【🍷 Conclusion】
A rich and powerful Zweigelt, very spicy, toasty, woody and jammy fruity, just delicious. A must-try.
