【📝Brief intro】
🇪🇸 The estate Dehesa del Carrizal @dehesadelcarrizal is located just over 150 km southwest of Madrid and around 70 km southwest of Toledo. Not far from the 'Parque Nacional de Cabañeros', the estate is located in one of the most beautiful regions of central Spain, the Montes del Toledo.
All the conditions are met for a high-level viticulture: poor soils, significant thermal differences between day and night, many hours of sunshine and sufficient rain and fresh wind and at an altitude of around 900m above sea level.
Vinification & Maturation: Grapes come from a plot of 7 ha. The harvest was carried out by hand during the last week of September and during the first week of October. After a delicate pressing and a long maceration, the wine fermented for a very long time in conical wooden barrels, in order to obtain a very high color extraction. It was then withdrawn and dispatched in several barrels (new and of different ages - from 1 to 4 years) where it ages 15 months before being assembled and bottled.

100% Syrah, 14.5% ABV.
【👀To the eye】
Deep ruby.
【👃Nose】
Pronounced aromas of black olive, violet, chocolate, tobacco, smoke, very ripe black fruits like plum, black cherry, blackberry and cassis.
【👅Palate】
Pronounced aromas similar to the nose, plenty of primary fruity aromas and spices due to the 15 months of oak aging. Dry, medium acidity, high tannin, full body. Wine is perfectly in balance, complex, and intense, with a smooth texture, tannins still can be felt but are already pleasant, and the finish is very long and spicy. Yummy!
【🍷 Conclusion】
A fantastic wine more Shiraz than Syrah, with a lot of personalities, powerful and elegant at the same time, smooth, fruity and spicy, incredible value for money. Should age well.
